First edition, very good red cloth hardcover shows mild caving along spine due to the book's 1,000 plus pages, light bit of rubbing at page edges, mild foxing at endpapers and blanks, browning at pages 756-757 where something had been laid in, along with some other light trace wear, in very good price-clipped dust jacket that shows a wrinkle and bit of browning to edge of front flap, light exposure toning along spine and edgewear that includes tiny chips and tears. Still a pleasing copy of this first American edition that collects the two books published earlier in England into one volume. Engaging novel of the post World War I life for the middle class residents of a particular suburban street.
