First edition, near fine brown cloth hardcover with gilt letter and decoration shows some light foxing at page edges and bottom edge of front endpaper and blank, and some other very light trace wear. 413 pages with index and illustrations. Still a good looking copy of this autobiography by the noted Texas industrialist and then some who eventually made his way to a large estate in the Natchez, MS area where he held to his proud American viewpoint and was not afraid to express it in a way not appreciated by many.
