Four volume set of first editions (complete), copyrights 1977-1979, four volumes hardcovers in blue cloth show a touch of foxing at page edges and some other very light trace wear including dulling to gilt at spine of volumes 1 & 2, else tight and clean, in very good or better jackets that show rubbing, toning, mild foxing and soil, and edgewear that includes closed tears and very small open chips. Over 800 pages with indexes, drawings and color plates. Still an attractive complete set of this effort that tells the story of "..every aspect of the attire and equipment of that most exciting of all United States military forces--the cavalry."
