First edition inscribed by the author on the front endpaper is very good + while showing some tape shadow lines to both pastedowns and endpapers where jacket flaps were previously taped down and touch of soil, else tight and clean, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows soil, exposure toning along spine, whitening to fore edge strips of flaps, and with edgewear that includes closed tears and small open chips. 311 pages with a set of black & whites and publishers insert still present. Still a solid inscribed copy of this hard to find work on the sugar and people of the Tropics and Latin America.
