First edition signed by the author on the front endpaper, very good blue cloth with gilt letter to cover and spine shows foxing to pages edges and endpapers, same to lesser extent to text block, and with some other light trace wear, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows foxing mainly to jacket reverse, rubbing and edgewear that includes small chips and tears. 345 pages with index, illustrations and maps. Remains a pleasing copy of this biography of the legendary Southern general.
