1901 complete set reprinting of the legendary Frenchman's work in maroon cloth (no dust jackets most likely as issued) that are for the most part very good with the occasional bit of rubbing, soil or other spots of wear with less than ten of the volumes showing more wear with occasional stain or moisture wear to cloth, heavier soil to a handful of volumes, some tearing at inner hinges of some volumes and some other mild wear including some uncut pages We'll call the set very good with more obvious wear to a few good to good + volumes. Set consists of I-IV- Romances, V-XIV-Philosophical Dictionary, XV-XIX-Dramas, XX-XXI-Charles XII of Sweden, XXII-XXIII-Age of Louis XIV, XXIV-XXX-General History, XXXI-XXXII-Annals of the Empire, XXXIII-War of 1741, XXXIV-XXXV-The Russian Empire, XXXVI-Poems, XXXVII-Essays, XXXVIII-Henriade Letters-Miscellanies, XXXVIX-Short Studies, XL-XLI-The Maid of Orleans, XLII-Biography-Critique. There is also an index published by Dumont 1903 with an appreciation by Oliver Leigh that has a bit different design to gilt at spine. This does a remain a complete set of one of the great thinkers of all time that should keep you busy for awhile.
