First edition (K-X) hardcover with illustrated cover and spine shows some very light trace wear including touch of soil to covers and page edges, bit of toning at endpapers, ink date stamp at rear pastedown and some other very light trace wear, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows exposure toning along spine, touch of soil and edgewear that includes closed tears and couple of tiny chips. 291 pages followed by other title adverts and with four black & white plates of paintings by H. H. Ballinger and jacket illustration by Frank Street. Still an attractive copy in jacket of this novel from the legendary author.
