Reprint of the 1918 edition, very good + hardcover (no dust jacket most likely as issued) with gilt letter and decoration shows a bit of soil and small faint stain at page edges and some other light trace wear including a bookseller sticker at bottom of front pastedown. 597 pages with appendix. Still a pleasing copy of this work reprinted from the new edition of 1918 published under her married name. (The work was originally published in 1850 by her father Thomas South who later bought up issues and burned them believing too many secrets better left unsaid to have been revealed.) (Wikipedia).
