First edition (Published June, 1909) green cloth hardcover with illustration to cover and spine shows lean to spine, rubbing at edges with mild fray at ends and corners, faint stain to cover, circles in ink to front pastedown where a compass was employed, mild bit of soil and/or stain at page edges, endpapers and interior, and with some other mild trace wear, in very good Grosset & Dunlap dust jacket published much later that shows toning along spine, rubbing, soil and edgewear that includes closed tears and open chips. 310 pages with illustrations. Still a solid copy of this early title from the legendary author that comes housed in a later reprint jacket.
