First edition with exact printing unknown, very good, oversized (9 by 11 approx.) green cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) shows rubbing particularly at edges, soil, bumping to corners, mild soil and staining at page edges, bookseller sticker and pencil mark at top of rear endpaper opposite last page pf text and some other mild trace wear. 308 pages nicely illustrated in black & white. Still a solid copy of this work from the legendary Elmer Keith.
