First edition, good decorative cloth hardcover shows rubbing and soil to covers, bumping to corners, staining and light soil at page edges and a few spots at endpapers and text block, tearing along front hinge, couple of light internal splits, name at front blank, ownership marks at rear blank and some other mild trace wear. Over 300 pages with a frontispiece illustration of Preller and Lennon-Maxwell. Solid copy of this hard to find account of the murder of C. Arthur Preller by Hugh M. Brooks alias W. H. Lennon-Maxwell in a St. Louis Hotel room in 1885.
