Very good red cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with letter and illustration to cover and spine shows mild rubbing and soil to covers, rub through with fray at top corner of front cover, light pencil shadow at top of front endpaper, couple of areas of browning to couple of pages where something was laid in and some other mild trace wear. 625 pages with index and black & white illustrations. Remains an attractive copy of this illustrated reference to the Saints "compiled from "Butler's Lives" and other approved sources.
