Item #32691 The Old West Speaks. Howard R. Driggs.

The Old West Speaks.

Prentice-Hall, 1956. Hardcover. 2nd printing with lengthy inscription by the author at bottom of front endpaper, very good + oversized hardcover shows name stamps at front and rear endpapers, bit of bumping to bottom corners and touch of soil at page edges, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows mild rubbing and edgewear that includes wrinkling, closed tears and couple of tiny chips. 220 pages with index, black & whites and full color reproductions of famous paintings by William Henry Jackson. Still a pleasing copy of this work that collects "..the very words of the trappers, hunters, fioghters and explorers who forged a nation out of the wilderness...." Very Good in Very Good DJ.
