First edition, good + dark green cloth hardcover (no dust jacket if issued) with pasted on illustration to front cover shows bit of soil and rubbing to covers, bit of fray at cover corners, touch of soil at page edges, light tearing with bit of weakness at hinges, previous owner marks at front endpaper and some other light trace wear, else a fairly tight and clean copy. 1087 pages nicely illustrated in black & white. Still a pleasing copy of this "..account of the origin and development of the breed in Herefordshire, a sketch of its early introduction into the United States and Canada, and subsequent rise to popuarity in the Western cattle trade, with sundry notes on the management of breeding herds."
