Item #26176 Peace in Piccadilly: The Story of Albany. Sheila Birkenhead.

Peace in Piccadilly: The Story of Albany.

Reynal & Company, 1958. First edition. Hardcover. First American printing, near fine red cloth hardcover shows mild age toning to pages and light bit os shelfwear, else tight and clean, in very good + dust jacket (price at flap) that shows touch of rubbing and soil along with edgewear that includes couple of small closed tears and tiny open chips. 250 pages nicely illustrated in black & white. Still a nice copy of this work centered around Albany, built early in the 19th century by the first Lord Melbourne that would later become the home of the Duke of York and would of course house a whose-who of guests through the 19th and 20th centuries. Near Fine in Very Good DJ. Item #26176
