Good hardcover shows soil and shelfwear to covers including bumping to corners with bit of rub through at one corner, very scant notations to text, light tearing at front hinge, handful of internal splits and some other mild wear. 147 pages full of black & white plates of "OLD GUARD" members with one being Ellery J. Garfield whom this one belonged to that is signed by him at front endpaper and has name emossed in gilt at front cover. Still a solid copy of this commemorative look at the honroed infantry unit.
