Very good red cloth hardcover (7 1/4 by 10 3/4 inches) (no dust jacket if issued) with small cover illustration in black and gilt of knights on horseback with black and gilt letter and decoration to cover and spine, along with top page edges gilt. Copy shows hint of exposure toning along spine, mild lean to spine, moisture wear/stain to bottom corner of covers and first and last few pages, light soil at page edges and some other light trace wear, else tight and clean. 468 pages nicely illustrated in black & white by M. Godefroy Durand. Still an attractive copy of this hard to find and very pleasing Watch Weel edition of Scott's work. Very Good. Item #23802
